Well, school has been going well and I recently did an open life drawing session. It was day of just looking at a nude man all day....and some drawing. Just so everyone knows as well, it was the first uncircumcised penis I've ever seen so my shock of that continued throughout the day. Amazing story I know. The first life drawing session I ever did was in Raleigh, NC. There were about 8 people in the room, circled about a center area with their easles and paper, and I found a little corner with an open easel so I sat down in front of it readying my things. Now, what I didn't notice in the room was that there was an open closet door next to my newfound area. As I was just about ready with my things, the male model walks out in his birthday suit....right out of the closet door, next to me. Now, I told you I was sitting so just try to imagine that a standing naked man is now directly in front of you. WOW. That's all I can say. What a great 1st time with a nude model. Anyway, I thought I'd share some of my work from yesterday's session.
The poses range in time from 1 minute to 20 minutes so the work I'm showing is just kind of quick little drawings. Nothing is really "finished" per se. The main idea is really just to get the dimensions of the body correct and there's no real formula for that so it's all practice and analytical thinking. I hope you guys enjoy my first post!
I have my first crit this upcoming Monday, so I should have some more things to show by then!
